Located at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre, we offer training sessions, corporate events, and volunteer opportunities to support local communities and encourage participation in sports for all abilities.
Natasha is a dedicated wheelchair user, mentor, and sports coach who has made inclusivity through sport the centre of her work. She has supported young people through the Haringey Mentor Scheme and is a qualified Level 2 Wheelchair Basketball Coach, coaching at both University College London and Sparrows Wheelchair Basketball Charity.
Driven by her passion for accessible sport, Natasha founded Rebels United, a charitable community interest company, which, champions inclusion through seated sports, exercise, and wheelchair basketball. Rebels United focuses on supporting marginalised communities—particularly children and women—helping improve physical and mental health, strengthen social connections, and promote preventative healthcare through active participation.
Natasha also contributes to shaping the future of disability inclusion in London. She is involved in the Greater London Authority’s development of the Disability Action Plan and serves on funding panels that support emerging entrepreneurs, including the Go London Start Up Awards for Young Entrepreneurs and the Ready, Steady, Pitch! event for #SelbyVentures finalists.
Amir, a volunteer coach and disabled activist, is physically disabled and is the founder of Hackney Sparrows Wheelchair Basketball Club, a charity which delivers wheelchair basketball nationally and internationally. Amir, through Sparrows, campaigned for the integration of disabled and non-disabled people, ethnic minorities, refugees and other excluded communities in basketball. Several captains of the GB team trained with or by Amir at Sparrows. Amir was asked to carry the Paralympics torch in 2012; lead on disability elements of Queen's Jubilee in 2023; and coach international refugees wheelchair basketball team in Athens in 2023 (which helped to recognise the refugees’ team in Olympics 2024). Amir has continued his commitment to disability sports and integration, setting up a league that allows all to participate, in English Welsh Wheelchair Basketball (EWWB) since 2022.
Amir has been school governor in two schools; head of a Disability Unit in Hackney and a lead disability manager in Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Haringey. Amir is also an experienced and qualified coach and trainer. Amir spent much of his career bringing wheelchair basketball to marginalised communities and is committed to educating through inclusive sports.
